Fun Facts:
  • The Chamois is a small, agile, goat-antelope species native to the mountains of Europe and parts of the Middle East. It is well-adapted to rugged, alpine environments and is known for its incredible climbing abilities, allowing it to navigate steep, rocky terrain with ease. Chamois are found in mountainous regions, typically between 800 and 3,000 meters (2,600 to 9,800 feet) in elevation. They prefer rocky slopes, alpine meadows, and coniferous forests. In the summer, they ascend to higher elevations to graze, and during winter, they move to lower elevations to avoid deep snow.
