Fun Facts:
  • Lokiceratops (Lo-key-sera-tops) - A large horned dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of Montana, USA. It was formally named and scientifically described in 2024. It measured around 6.7 metres in length. Lokiceratops had two, huge blade-like horns on the back of its head shield. In addition, the ornamentation of the head shield was strikingly asymmetrical, with horn shapes differing on each side. This unusual feature suggests that horned dinosaurs were far more varied in their head ornamentation than previously thought. Lokiceratops is named after the blade-wielding Norse god Loki.
